We live in a culture where victims and the dead get more flowers than the living — I like this one

There was a time I was dating this girl and I bought her a plush toy randomly without any occasion and first thing she said “just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I like soft toys” and I was like whoa.. I did not see that coming, I was just trying to do something nice. I guess sometime people miss to show the appreciation for our efforts(grand or not) which kinda hurts.
